Velixo NX 2025.2 Release Notes – Sage Intacct
Created by Damien Zwillinger, Modified on Fri, 21 Feb at 2:04 AM by Damien Zwillinger
Applies to:
- Velixo NX
- Sage Intacct
Release date: February 28th, 2024
Version number: 2025.2 or higher
🚀 New:
- New SI.EXPANDGLHISTORY Function - one of the most requested features in our community Idea forum, this function returns the unique combination of GL accounts and Dimensions from GL transactions (i.e. from transactions with a GL balance), for a given date range. It is the most efficient way to return many account/dimension combinations and hide zero rows.
- New Performance Optimization Options- we are introducing two new options for large Sage Intacct instances that may significantly improve querying performance:
- Granular balance loading - Load balances only for the dimensions used in your workbook. This speeds up refreshes by reducing unnecessary ERP queries.
Global object filters - Apply filters to all queries for a specific object. This means your reports load only the records you need, even when there are hundreds of thousands of entries.
Both features are set per connection in the Options menu and apply at the workbook level.
New Use Shared Memory Caches option - We introduced a Use shared memory caches setting to optimize querying performance when using many GL functions in a workbook, especially when combined with the Snapshot feature.
This option can be turned on from the Options panel (Options > Shared memory caches)
After enabling it, restart Excel to apply the change.
✨ Improved:
Table Mirroring: Relaxed Record Key Requirements - we have made several improvements to relax the requirement to specify the key for a query mirrored to a table (i.e. when OutputColumns parameters are used):
We've made the KeyColumnIndex parameter optional by default for Table mirroring scenarios
KeyColumnsIndex only becomes required if Velixo detects he mirrored table includes "manually-entered" data in custom columns.
When Velixo detects this scenario:
users now receive a notification letting them know they must add a KeyColumnsIndex to refresh data
the data in the table is not updated - to prevent data loss
- TOTABLE Improvements - The TOTABLE function now uses actual header names when DataIncludesHeaders is set to True, ensuring friendlier display of column names and better preservation if names change.
- Generic Writeback Renamed: Universal Writeback - To improve the user experience and reduce confusion, we are renaming Generic Writeback to Universal Writeback.
- Important note: the functionality remains the same, the function name remains SI.WRITEBACK(), we will just reference the feature as Universal Writeback within the product or in documentation, training and several other assets.
SI.QUERY Improvements
The Top parameter becomes Settings - To provide more control over the query results data, we have renamed the Top parameter to Settings and added support for new settings. This parameter:
still accepts a simple number to limit the number of rows,
and now also add support for specifying key-value pairs to control sorting, paging, and case sensitivity (new settings).
Support for specific subtypes - it is now possible to query on Object just for a specific "subtype" (based on the DOCPARID column), i.e. querying variants, pre-filtered Objects, as they are displayed in Sage Intacct's Platform Services.
Example: "SODOCUMENT (Contract Change Order)"
You can now query Objects with no ID or RECORDNO - Prior to Velixo 2025.2, we required every Sage Intacct Object to have an ID and a key (Velixo was returning an error if an object had neither a key nor an ID). In this version, we have removed this limitation:
these objects can now be queried (e.g. "APCLOSESUMMARY ")
however, no Smart Refresh is possible. These objects will always fully refresh.
Other Functions Improvements:
SI.EXPANDOBJECTRANGE - now return extra objects, including SODOCUMENT, PODOCUMENT, and INVDOCUMENT.
SI.OBJECTDEFINITION - now also works with Objects and subtypes, such as "SODOCUMENT (Contract Change Order)".
Register with Velixo form improvements - We have improved the UX of this form, which displays for first-time users of Velixo or will display if we update our Terms or Policies.
We have reduced the number or fields in this form.
We now allow manually entering an email address, in some scenarios. This update fixes the: "Please enter a valid email address error." For more details, see Couldn't sign in to Velixo NX: an error occurs "Please enter a valid email address".
🐛 Known Issues:
Couldn't sign in to Velixo NX - Please enter a valid email address, the Business Email
If you sign in with your Microsoft account for the first time and see the error, Please enter a valid email address, the Business Email field auto-filled from your Microsoft account does not match your actual email. This issue appears in Velixo NX 2024.11 and newer.
For full details and a workaround, see this help article.
Freeze in Excel Tables duplicates data across tables
After using the Freeze operation, Excel tables containing Velixo formulas may display the same value throughout an entire column. This happens because the formula in the last cell is replicated across the table. This issue affects Velixo NX 2024.12 and newer.
