#NAME? displays for all Velixo NX functions

Overview

When opening a workbook, all cells containing or referencing Velixo NX functions display Excel's #NAME? error:


 

If performing a Full Refresh of your report...


... does not resolve the issue, proceed with the troubleshooting techniques below.



Troubleshooting Techniques

Let's ensure that there is not an issue with the specific workbook.

  1. Close all Excel windows
  2. Reopen Excel
  3. Create a NEW, blank Excel workbook
  4. Click the Velixo button in the Velixo NX section of Excel's Home ribbon
  5. In any cell, type:  =SI.


If a list of Velixo NX functions is displayed...



...Excel *is* able to communicate with the Velixo NX add-in. Please contact Velixo Technical Support for help with your original workbook.




If, however, no list of functions is displayed...



... proceed with the resolution steps below.

 


Resolution

  • Follow the steps for Uninstalling the Velixo NX add-in (there is no need to remove the references to Velixo NX)
  • Close all Excel windows
  • Reopen Excel and then open any file that uses Velixo NX functions
  • You will be prompted by Excel to install the add-in.  Allow Excel to do so

  

Excel should now be able to access the Velixo NX add-in.
